Mainframe-based systems often have a development history spanning several decades. This affects not only their business logic but also the technologies used.
At some point, the pressure grows to homogenize, modernize, and adapt these systems to future-proof technologies — without compromising their functionality.
To securely enable this, we developed Njema, a system with which we can automatically analyze and functionally identical transform our clients’ proprietary software.
The Assessment
Njema analyzes all software components of a system and their interactions — scheduling and job control, programs and copy books, databases and online systems, operating platforms and utilities, as well as the use of third-party software.
The Transformation
Njema contains an extensive repository of transformation rules. After the automated analysis, ITM constructs a transformation engine from existing and new project-specific rules, which translates millions of code lines into new languages within minutes or a few hours, adapts programs to new databases or OLTP systems, and much more.
Die Njema Solution in Brief
Features and Functionality of the Product at a Glance is found here. We also provide our current flyer for Njema here.
Verlorener Quellcode?
During analysis, we sometimes discover that programs are being called for which the source code no longer exists. This problem is solved by our product Mutabor, which allows our experts to regenerate maintainable source code from the hexadecimal form of the code.
Projekts
Njema has been used for assessment and transformation in many projects.
Confidentiality
All examples shown always use fictitious test data, as we never disclose customer data.
We also ask for your understanding that we do not publish customer references: the results of our work are, for good reason, never accessible to third parties.
